ClickGene is an Innovative Training Network (ITN) funded by the European Union’s Horizon2020 framework programme for research and innovation under grant agreement No 642023. It involves six Countries (Ireland, Germany, Great Britain, Czech Republic, Italy, Greece) with 10 partners including 3 companies. The main subjects are click chemistry and gene therapy for a new anticancer strategy, providing synthetic and mechanistic studies toward pharmacological development based on modification, activation, modulation and repression of DNA functional domains. These subjects have an overwhelming potential for human health applications. ClickGene is training 14 PhD students with skills that are required by next-generation research leaders in biopharmaceutical, nanotechnology, biodiagnostic and related industries.
