The aim of the CO2Hing project is to design and synthesize appropriate ionic liquids as solvents for cellulose by using molecular dynamic simulation, to spin cellulose hollow fibers based on equilibrium thermodynamics, and to prepare innovative and competitive asymmetric hollow fiber carbon molecular sieve membranes for CO2 removal from high pressure (>80 bar) natural gas process with low cost, energy efficient and low environmental impacts. The vision of the CO2Hing project is to develop a clean, energy efficient membrane system for natural gas sweetening in subsea process.
