PhD Student

Achilleas Bardakas received his diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the School of Pedagogical and Technological Education in 2014, completing his diploma thesis titled “Design and construction of a digitally controlled three degrees of freedom traverse system”. Achilleas completed his MSc degree on Mechanical Engineering Technology in 2016 from Purdue Polytechnic Institute at Purdue University (IN, USA), focusing in the design and fabrication of microsensors. His master thesis was completed at the Birck Nanotechnology Center titled “Design and Fabrication of a Microelectromechanical Double-Ended Tuning Fork Strain Gauge. In 2017 he joined the National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos” as PhD candidate focusing in piezoelectric energy harvesting and sensors applications.
