Dimitris Barmpakos received his B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from Technological Educational Institute of Central Greece, by completing the experimental part of his thesis in XLIM - Universite de Limogés in 2014 (thesis project: “Methodology on CAD RF LNA design”), and his M.Sc. in Design and Development of Advanced Electronic Systems from Technological Educational Institute of Athens (thesis project: “Development of Flexible Electronic Devices using Inkjet Printing Technology”).
He has been involved in numerous interdisciplinary projects as a technician, an engineer and a research associate, mainly regarding embedded systems, sensors design & installation, and signal analysis. For three years, he was Technical Director of Direct Solutions Private co., which he co-founded.
He has been working in research projects since 2011 in a total of 4 laboratories: in T.E.I of Central Greece (DSG), in Universite de Limoges (XLIM), in T.E.I. of Athens (microSENSES), and in NCSR “Demokritos” (ΙΝΝ).
Ηis research interests focus on printed electronics, printable materials, printing technologies, flexible substrates and flexible – stretchable electronics design.
Since July 2017, he is a PhD candidate in NCSR “D” in collaboration with T.E.I of Athens, under the NCSR “D” “Industrial PhD” program which is subsidized by Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
