Dr. Dimitra Ermioni Michael has a bachelor degree in Biology, from the Faculty of Biology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (completed 2006). In 2015 she completed her doctoral thesis entitled as: ‘Exploring activity and dietary patterns in Greek populations, from the Geometric Period until modern times’, at the Faculty of Biology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Department of Animal and Human Physiology). From 2015 until present time, she has been an external research associate at the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, N.C.S.R. ‘Demokritos’. The primary subject of her research includes the investigation of the dietary habits; along with the reconstruction of the palaeoclimatological conditions, of populations from Greece, using isotopes (stable and radiocarbon). She has published in international scientific journals, while she has also participated in various international and national conferences.
