Dr. Maria Giannouri has received her diploma in Physics Department of National Kapodistrian University of Athens. She completed her PhD at the Physics Department, Solid State Sector at the University of Athens, with Thesis title «Paraconductivity and quantum effects in Nb1-xTax και Zr1-xRhx superconducting thin films». After her PhD with an Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship and she has worked in the fied of experimental physics in low temperature area at the University of Bayeruth in Germany and then she continued in France at the University Paris XI and CNRS Saclay. Moreover she participated at the installation of the temperature and humidity standards at the Hellenic Institute of Metrology in Thessaloniki. Since 2011 she has been working as a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Nanoscienceand Nanotechnology, NCSR “Demokritos”. Her main research interests are the pyrolysis techniques and the incorporation of carbon materials as cathode electrodes in the dye Sensitized Solar Cells.
