Dr. S. Chatzandroulis holds a B.Sc from the Physics Department, University of Athens, Greece in 1990, a M.Sc on Electronic Automation in 1993 and a PhD degree on “Integrated Pressure Sensors” from the same department in 1999. He is currently a senior researcher with the Nanoelectronics, Photonics and Microsystems program of the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at the National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos”. He is a member of IEEE and MRS society. Dr Chatzandroulis has been involved in several European and National projects on microelectronics involving academics and industrials. He has worked on the development of a number of sensors, including pressure sensors, chemical sensors and biosensors and their corresponding electronic readout. His current interests focus on chemical sensors and biosensors and on passive RF sensor tags. Dr. Chatzandroulis has authored or co-authored more than 70 papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings. He holds 1 issued U.S. patent and 4 Greek patents.
