ABOUT/BIOGRAPHY
Eirini Tziviloglou is a post-doctoral researcher at INN. She holds a diploma in Civil Engineering from the University of Patras (GR), and a Master’s degree in concrete science and technology and PhD in biogenic self-healing cementitious materials, from Delft University of Technology (NL). She is specialized in the development of “smart” multifunctional cementitious composites. She has solid experience in engaging different technologies to develop cementitious materials with improved crack-bridging, crack-healing and self-sensing properties. During her PhD studies and post-doctoral activities she has worked with some of the most renowned experts in the field of material science from European universities, research institutes and the industry. She has participated in European collaborative projects having an active role in laboratory research and team management, while she has co-ordinated interlaboratory tests concerning the evaluation of self-healing efficiency within the framework of RILEM/TC 253 MCI (Micro-organisms-Cementitious Materials Interactions). She has five scientific papers in journals, eleven papers in international conference proceedings and two book chapters.
