ABOUT/BIOGRAPHY

Dr Maria Antoniadou has received her diploma in Chemical Engineering at Patras University. She completed her PhD at the Department of Engineering Sciences, Physics Sector, University of Patras, with Thesis title «Study of the photoelectrochemical production of hydrogen and electricity by using hybrid organic-inorganic structures». She worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Patras University, Chemical Engineering Department, on many parallel projects in the field of photocatalysis, photoelectrochemical water splitting and solar energy conversion. Since March 2014 she has been working as a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, NCSR “Demokritos”. Her research interests focus on advanced materials and devices for energy harvesting. She is also currently the author of 45 peer-reviewed scientific publications with over 1400 citations according to Scopus.
