The aim of the project was the development and study of new composite structures of different magnetic materials which are required for advanced magnetic device and sensor applications. The materials studied were superparamagnetic granular alloys with controlled size distribution, magnetic thin films and multilayers produced by research-level processing techniques in the participating laboratories.
The objective of the project was the development of a sufficiently good understanding of the magnetic interactions between the different structural elements that would enable their design from first principles. Partners involved: NCSRD (GR) and Wigner Research Centre for Physics, Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HU).
