ABOUT/BIOGRAPHY
Aris-Ioannis Kanaris was born in 1994 at Athens, Greece. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc degree from the Electrical and Computer Engineering, Technical School of Athens, Greece, in 2020, majoring in Electronics, Electric Machines, Electric Power Systems and Biomedical Engineering. He is also studying for a M.Sc in Microsystems and Nanodevices from the same department. His Master Thesis in 2020 was ”Production, calibration and study of gas sensors" NTUA, Athens. His practical training was in ”Development of an automated system for obstructive sleep apnea treatment based on machine learning and breath effort monitoring” in the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at NCSR “Demokritos”, Athens. He currently works on “MICSYS: Water pollution detection system based on microfluidic device” in the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at Democritos Athens. He has also worked on "DIAMOND: Rapid, timely DIAgnosis and MONitoring of microbial Diseases by means of an automated, point-of-care system" in the same Institute. He is co-author in 3 publications: «A sensing approach for automated and real-time pesticide detection in the scope of smart-farming», Computers and Electronics in Agriculture, in 2020, «Development of an automated system for obstructive sleep apnea treatment based on machine learning and breath effort monitoring», Microelectronic
Engineering, in 2020 and « Identification of Two Commercial Pesticides by a Nanoparticle Gas-Sensing Array », Sensors, in 2021. His current interests focus on the development, fabrication and optimization of sensor systems for chemical and biological applications.
