Applications
Characterization of open porosity, pore size distribution, surface area of porous inorganic materials. Typical materials analysed include ceramicsand refractories, cements, grouts, bones and dental materials, catalysts, filters, membranes, rocksand zeolites, polymers, and composites materials.
Mercury porosimetry can determine both inter-particle (between the individual particles) and intra-particle pores (within the particle itself).
