Nanoscopy-GR aims to strengthen the research collaboration and coordination of research strategy between Greece and Norway by creating a node between two prominent Greek nanoscopy laboratories, i.e. the Laboratory for Electron Microscopy and Structural Characterization of Materials of the  Physics Department – Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Electron Microscopy and Nanomaterials Laboratory of the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology – NCSR “Demokritos”, in connection with the  Centre for Materials Science and Nanotechnology of the University of Oslo, a node of the Norwegian Centre for Transmission Electron Microscopy (NORTEM). The aims of the project are to: (i) develop an integrated nanoscopy-modeling methodology for studying nanomaterials and nanostructures down to the atomic scale, (ii) upgrade and unify the capacities for innovative interdisciplinary services in electron nanoscopy, (iii) confront new challenges in the nanoscopic characterization of materials and devices towards the development of high added-value products, (iv) co-develop electron nanoscopy in the two countries.
