Greek Award of the L’Oréal-UNESCO institution for Women in Science to Dr. Maria Antonopoulou Women in Science | The World Needs Science – Science Needs Women
Dr. Maria Antonopoulou, a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory of Catalytic-Photocatalytic Processes and Environmental Analysis, was honored in 2019 with one of the three Greek Awards the L’Oréal-UNESCO institution for Women in Science, for her research on "Processes of transformation of organic pollutants and the development of advanced technologies for their removal from natural and treated waters". The award aims to recognize the achievements and contribution of women to the advancement of scientific knowledge, and to encourage the participation of girls and women in science.
