ABOUT/BIOGRAPHY
Efstathios Tsoutsoumanos is a PhD Student at the Physics Department of University of Thessaly and currently conducting his Doctoral Thesis at “Age assessment using radiometric techniques; applications, basic research and new technologies” Group. He received a Bachelors degree in Physics from University of Ioannina in 2018 and a Masters degree from University of Thessaly in 2021. Following graduation, he worked as a Research Assistant in the Laboratory of Atomic and Nuclear Physics at the Department of Physics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he participated in research activities including Thermoluminescence experiments, Radiation Dosimetry, Theory of Defects in Solids, Characterization of the energy level-structure and experimental Data Analysis using various methods. Since 2021, he started working on his doctoral thesis and his research focuses on the mathematical study of the phenomenological models of Stimulated Luminescence (Thermoluminescence, Linearly Modulated and Continuous Wave - Optically Stimulated Luminescence) in microscale and nanoscale dimensions in order to analyze the behavior and the properties of solids for Radiation Dosimetry and Materials Science purposes.
