ABOUT/BIOGRAPHY

Marina Stramarkou received her Diploma, equivalent to Master of Engineering, from the School of Chemical Engineering of National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2016. In 2020 she completed the Postgraduate Program "Techno-economic Systems" at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of NTUA. Since December 2016, she performs her doctoral dissertation at the National Center of Scientific Research "Demokritos" (NCSR “D”), in collaboration with NTUA, under the "Industrial PhD" program sponsored by Stavros Niarchos Foundation. The title of her PhD Thesis is «Smart Packaging using electronic sensors on flexible substrates for the activation of food bioactive compounds encapsulated with innovative methods». She has published 10 articles in International Scientific Journals, a book chapter and an e-book chapter and she has done 14 presentations in International Scientific Conferences. She has been awarded under the Eurobank EFG sponsorship for achieving the highest School Certificate degree in 2010 and has also won the Thomaides award for publishing her Research in Conference/ Journal with Reviewers (2016, 2017, 2019, 2020).
