ABOUT/BIOGRAPHY
Nefeli Dimogerontaki received her BSc degree in Physics from Partas Univeristy in 2020. In 2022 she completed successfully her MSc from the School of Applied Mathematical and Physical science of the National technical University of Athens. Since 2022 she is performing, her PhD studies at INN- NCSR Demokritos under the supervision of Dr. Nikos Kehagias. Her Phd thesis focuses on the study and development of metasurfaces, utilizing alternative nanofabrication methods like Nanoimprint Lithography (NIL), Roll-to-Roll NIL, alongside post-printing techniques such as metal or dielectric evaporation, laser printing, Inkjet printing, and laser-induced forward transfer. The thesis explores the manipulation of properties such as transmittance, light guidance, structural coloration and heat dissipation through the control of surface topography at the nanoscale. The goal is the development of the required value chain (materials, nanofabrication and characterization) for the realization of smart devices for applications in the energy harvesting, security printing and packaging areas.
