ABOUT/BIOGRAPHY
Dr P. Dimitrakellis has a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from National Technical University of Athens and he also holds a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. both from the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Patras. The subject of his postgraduate studies was Materials Science and Technology and his Ph.D. thesis was held in Plasma Technology Laboratory, Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Patras and had title: “Plasma enhanced CVD of hydrogenated microcrystalline silicon thin films using high density plasmas”. He is currently postdoctoral researcher at the Plasma Group of Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, NCSR “Demokritos”. His research interests focus on the design and construction of low and atmospheric pressure plasma sources, process development for plasma treatment of materials (activation, etching, thin film deposition), plasma diagnostics and advanced materials characterization for several applications including Life Science and Energy.
