Gas Chromatography

Tool
Various GC systems

Applications
Gas chromatography (GC) is a separation technique capable of separating highly complex mixtures based primarily upon differences of boiling point/ vapor pressure and of polarity. The system scan be used to separate and detect small molecular weight organic compounds in the gas phase. GCis typically used for the detection of small, volatile and mainly nonpolar compounds in environmental monitoring, food analysis, industrial or other applications.

Technical Specifications
Various GC system either asstand-alone instruments or as detection units of selectivity/ permeability apparatus:

Detectors: FID, TCD, PID etc.
Injection port: automated or manual
Columns: Various polar and non-polarones, capillary or packed ones

Software: suitable software for the operation the data acquisition and the processing of the data
