Seven non-profit Scientific Associations (the Hellenic Geological Society, the Association of Greek Physicists, the Association of Greek Chemists, , the Hellenic Mathematical Society, the Association of Informatics of Greece , the Association of Graduate Environmentalists of Greece and the Panhellenic Association of Bioscientists) are co-organizing a one-day workshop about

"The Presence of Women in Science: Reflections and Perspectives"

The purpose of this meeting is to raise awareness to the citizens and discuss about the problem of limited representation of women in Science. After delving on the reasons behind women’s under-represenation, the meeting aims at initiating a discussion with the attendants on possible good practices and actions that may contribute to the solution of this problem.

The meeting is held under the auspices of ΗΕ the President of the Greek Democracy, Mrs. Katerina Sakellaropoulou, and is open to the public.

INN is represented in this initiative by Dr Eleni Makarona, who is also included in a series of invited interviews of women scientists that will be presented during the meeting.
