Dr. Georgia Basina, is a Materials Scientist specialized in Materials Chemistry. After receiving her PhD degree, she performed research in laboratories abroad (Greece, Slovenia, USA, UAE) with different disciplines. Dr. Basina obtained extensive experience in colloidal synthesis of nanostructured and porous materials. Alongside her professional experience, her skills include several analytical techniques such as XRD, SEM, TEM (EDAX, SAED), FT-IR, DTA/TG, UV/VIS, DLS, GS-SCD, gas sorption properties (BET, Langmuir) and Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM) for magnetic characterization. Given her expertise, she will focus on both synthesis and characterization of the proposed materials, data evaluation, and project management, and manuscripts writing.
