The main objective of this project is to develop a catalytic copper nanoparticle based ceramic membrane. The development of the catalytic systems is performed through a modified polyol route utilizing two mesoporous siliceous templates, MCM-41 & MCF as substrates, whereas copper is used as the active component. During the project implementation both the nanoparticle materials and the hybrid ceramic membranes are characterized and investigated with respect to their structural and functional properties.

DeNOx catalytic activity results perform under stoichiometric conditions in order to study the NO conversion by CO at moderate temperatures (~400 oC).
