ABOUT/BIOGRAPHY
Achilleas Bardakas received his diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the School of Pedagogical and Technological Education in 2014 and completed his MSc degree on Mechanical Engineering Technology in 2016 from Purdue Polytechnic Institute at Purdue University (IN, USA), focusing in the design and micro-fabrication of silicon-based devices. In 2017 he joined the National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos” as a PhD candidate supported by a State Scholarship Foundation (IKY) grant for Doctoral Studies. His research interests are focused on the growth and characterization of ZnO nanostructures, the fabrication of ZnO-based nanodevices and sensors, development and characterization of magnetoelectric materials and design and fabrication of nano-generators for energy harvesting.
