ABOUT/BIOGRAPHY

Evangelos Kouvelos holds a bachelor and a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering (School of Chemical Engineers, National Technical University of Athens, NTUA). He also received his MSc in Computational Mechanics from the School of Chemical Engineers of NTUA. His research interests lie in the field of porous materials and membranes (Inorganic – Polymeric) for environmental, energy and water treatment applications. In more detail he has a long experience in the characterization as well as the study of sorption, diffusion and mass transfer phenomena in the abovementioned materials.  He has also expertise in the design, development, simulation and optimization of industrial separation processes.

Dr Kouvelos is member of MESL for the last 20 years and he has been involved in the implementation of more than 20 EU and National research projects. He is co-author in 33 publications in peer reviewed journals (>1400 citations, h-Index: 14), in 1 book chapter and has more than 9 presentations in international conference and proceedings.
