ABOUT/BIOGRAPHY
He graduated from Physics Department of University of Ioannina (NKUA) in 11996. He received his M.Sc diploma in Applied Physics of National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 1999 In 2003, he received his Ph.D in Physics from NTUA in collaboration with N.C.S.R “Demokritos” with title “Study of molecular magnets with nuclear magnetic spectroscopy NMR. He has worked as translator of the scientific books “Halliday & Resnick & Krane “PHYSICS” 4rth edition, A and B volumes”. The years 2004-2011 worked as post-doctoral researcher at Institute of Material science of N.C.S.R. “Demokritos, where he studied the magnetic induction heating and NMR in ferrofluids and in porous materials. From 20012 to 2015 he worked as research associate at ENDITECH S.A. ENDITECH is a spin-off company of N.C.S.R. “Demokritos” with specialization in non-destructive testing in concrete and metallic structures. The years 2015-2017 woas post-doctoral researcher at Khalifa University of Science Technology and Research, Research & Graduate Studies Office, Abu Dhabi, UAE. For 2017 till today, he is research associate at the Stable Isotope Unit of N.C.S.R. “Demokritos”. The scientific areas of his interest include Stable Isotopes Analysis in archeological materials, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) in magnetic and nanoporous materials, Magnetic induction heating in ferrofluids, Ultrasonic, acoustic and microseismic non-destructive methods in porous and metallic materials. He has significant experience in management of National and European funded projects with respect to research and financial organization. From 2004 – 2016 he has worked in five European and seven National funded projects. He has published 31 peer reviewed articles and 2 book chapters. In addition, he has taught undergraduate courses in different universities; National Technical School of Athens, National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos” in Athens (Greece) and Department of Applied Mathematics and Sciences -Khalifa University, (UAE).
