Nanomanufacturing of optical devices and functional surfaces

ABOUT/BIOGRAPHY

My research work focuses on the study and developed of novel nano-lithography and nano-patterning techniques for the fabrication of 2D and 3D structures. The combination of top-down and bottom-up imprint based lithography techniques with novel materials are investigated to create nano enabled functional surfaces and components. In particular interest is the fabrication of passive nano-photonic surfaces which could manipulate light in two and/or three dimensions. Efforts have been employed in developing high throughput nano manufacturing processed suitable to process hybrid materials for the realisation of and biomimetic surfaces. A major goal is to transfer new technological discoveries to industrial applications.
