The Electron Microscopy and Nanomaterials Lab provides a wide range of services for the structural, morphological and elemental characterization of materials, surfaces and structures from the μm-scale down to the atomic level. We offer facilities and expertise in Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM, including Low Vacuum SEM for insulating and hydrated materials), Transmission & Scanning/Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM & S/TEM, including High Resolution and Z-contrast S/TEM), Electron Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (EDS, on SEM and S/TEM), Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (EELS, on TEM).

We work with a wide range of customers on product development, failure analysis, quality control, as well as research projects. We have regular collaborations with the pharmaceuticals, chemicals, metals, shipping and building & construction materials industry as well as customers from Academia, in Greece and abroad.
