Applications
Differential thermal analysis (DTA) determines energy changes between a sample and reference material as the two are heated at a controlled rate. It is used to study the phase transitions of materials, magnetic and non-magnetic.
Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) is a technique whereby a sample is continuously weighed as it is being heated or cooled at a controlled rate.
Thermomagnetic measurements (TMA) can be performed in a range 300-1200 K applying a magnetic field (e.g 150 Oe) under Ar (or other gas) flow to determine Curie and other transition temperatures of magnetic materials.
