ABOUT/BIOGRAPHY

Elli Georgopoulou-Kotsaki is a PhD student at Epitaxy and Surface Science Laboratory (ESSL), headed by Dr. A. Dimoulas of the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology of NCSR "Demokritos", in collaboration with Physics Department of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She obtained her BSc degree in Physics in 2016 from University of Patras and her MSc degree in Materials Physics in 2018 from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. For her MSc thesis she performed an experimental study on magnetic and structural properties of magnetocaloric Mn-Fe-Si compounds. She is a member of the ESSL and works on the growth and magnetic, structural
characterization of topological insulators and 2D van der Waals materials within the framework of Horizon 2020 “SKYTOP” project.
