ABOUT/BIOGRAPHY

Lida Givalou is Chemical Engineer and post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at NCSR "Demokritos". Her PhD thesis (at the Department of Chemical Engineering of NTUA) is titled: "Study and preparation of electrochemical systems and their applications in photovoltaic systems".  The PhD thesis was funded from 2011 to 2015 by PhD Scholarship of NTUA. The main areas of her research are Quantum Dot Sensitized Solar Cells, Perovskite Solar Cells, carbon quantum dots and the preparation of hybrid graphene and graphene oxide materials. She is familiar with instrumental analysis techniques (XRD, UV-VIS, Raman), electrochemical measurement techniques (Voltametry, Impression, Electroposition) and deposition techniques (Spin Coating, Dip Coating, Doctor Blade). She also has knowledge of preparation, characterization and evaluation of sensitized solar cells of solid and liquid phase. Her research work includes 6 papers in international journals and has been presented at 12 international and national scientific conferences.
