ABOUT/BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Thomas Stergiopoulos (Chemist) conducted his pHD thesis in the field of dye-solar cells working in the group of P. Falaras at the National Centre for Scientific Research Demokritos (NCSRD), while being a visiting researcher for one year at the CNRS-University Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris, France). At 2014, he moved to the University of Oxford (Physics Department) to work on perovskite solar cells with Prof. Henry Snaith under a Marie Curie IEF fellowship grant until 2015 and he then became a Long-term Visiting Researcher for the following 5 years. He then joined the Department of Chemistry at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as a lecturer (until 2017) and then as an Assistant Professor until February 2022. He is currently a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in NCSR Demokritos with his own group working on perovskite and chalcogenide solar cells and LEDs. T. S. has more than 70 peer-reviewed scientific publications, more than 8000 citations and an H-index of 38.
