Electrochemistry
The electrochemistry facility of the EHAS group consists of:
- a fume hood complete with water sink and gas gun for sample drying
- electrochemical cells for anodization, material growth and supercapacitor characterization
- Hot and cold plates for temperature control
- Electronic equipment for current and voltage biasing and monitoring
This facility is being used for a variety of activities such as:
- Porous Si and porous alumina formation through anodization
- Metal Assisted Chemical Etching (MACE) of Si nanowires
- Electrodeposition of metals
- Supercapacitor characterization through cyclic voltammetry
