EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR NEW TENURE TRACK RESEARCHERS AND SPECIAL RESEARCH SCIENTISTS

The Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology of NCSR Demokritos, the largest Research Center of Greece, plans to open positions for new tenure track Researchers and Special Research Scientists* of Greek or other EU citizenship within 2026-27 framework.
We are excited to connect with talented young researchers and explore how their expertise can contribute to the innovative goals of INN in the topics described below. We warmly invite interested candidates to share via e-mail (send to address hr@inn.demokritos.gr ) a short CV and potential research plan with us, as well as any questions about how their research interests may align with the goals of INN. Candidates are invited to e-mail their interests any time and preferably before . They are also welcome to visit INN.
Candidates must be citizen of an EU country.
Candidates should mention in the subject and body of the e-mail which of the following topics is within their major expertise and interest, and should request a confirmation of e-mail receipt.
Topic 1: Magnetic Superconducting materials (Researcher)
Topic 2:Â Materials and process optimization using technology-aware and physics informed Machine Learning (ML) methods (Researcher)
Topic 3: Physical and Chemical Characterization of Materials, Thin Films, and Surfaces including XPS/UPS techniques (Special Research Scientist)
Topic 4: Transmission Electron Microscopy of advanced materials/nanostructures/devices (Special Research Scientist)
Leading candidates who do not match the topics above may propose a specific topic direction or subdirection for consideration by our Scientific Council. In that case they may write in their e-mail "Other Topic".
* Special Research Scientists (also referred to as Special Functional Research Scientists or research Engineers) are Researchers who are responsible for large infrastructure/equipment. Their research activity is centered around the equipment, which may be used by several research groups and external users. They are responsible for ensuring continuous operation, securing competitive funding, and assuring the access of internal and external research groups to the research infrastructure.
