 Scope

This Workshop follows on from seven previous meetings which took place in Santorini (Greece, 2006), Syros (Greece, 2008), Orlando (USA, 2010), Ouranoupolis (Greece, 2012), Larnaka (Cyprus 2014), Pylos (Greece, 2016) and Paphos (Cyprus, 2017).

Its purpose is to bring together a select number of internationally distinguished experts working on materials in the field of molecular and nanoscale magnetism.

These materials include single molecule and molecule-based magnets, magnetic clusters, chains, and layers, as well as nanosized bulk magnetic materials, where surface effects and properties such as Jahn-Teller distortions, orbital ordering, polaronic effects, double exchange, etc, play a significant role.

Special emphasis is also given to the physical aspects of magnetic nanoparticles'  technological and biomedical applications.
